Busch UK celebrates 50 Years in Vacuum Solutions

Busch (UK) celebrates 50 years of providing vacuum solutions to the UK market.

Busch (UK) began in 1971 when the first overseas subsidiary of the global Busch group was established in Croydon, Surrey before moving to its premises in Telford, Shropshire, in the early 1990s.

Further expansion led to a specialist service centre in Scotland, originally opening in Livingston in 1998, afterwhich the service unit moved to its current premises in East Kilbride in 2005.

Since its inception, vacuum solutions from Busch vacuum solution can now be found in almost every industry, from farming to food packaging; life-saving medical applications to pharmaceutical production; renewable energy to space research; and from metals treatment to semiconductor production.

Now, during its half-century milestone year, the company’s mission has never been clearer, as Tim Hulbert, Busch UK’s Managing Director, explains: “Our mission is to grow by creating the highest value for their customers.  We’re proud of our 50 years of heritage and are now ready to do our part to help UK manufacturing achieve its net zero goals in the coming years.

“Busch vacuum solutions make the difference when it comes to extending the shelf-life of food products, reducing energy consumption in almost every manufacturing process and improving productivity through our centralised systems and service offerings.  We are a local team, with UK manufacturing and vacuum service centres, ready to support our customers as they recover from the pandemic and grow.

“Our local presence also means we’re committed for the long term to the communities in which we operate, with a range of charitable and STEM initiatives that will hopefully inspire future generations of vacuum specialists,” he added.
