Lincoln apprentice puts his (PPMA) BEST foot forward at Festo

Lewis Morley, from Lincoln but currently living in Leamington Spa, is studying a degree apprenticeship alongside Festo.

Currently in his first year completing a HNC in engineering, Lewis will be moving onto a HND, and then finally completing a BEng to finish his apprenticeship.

Lewis was 17 when he applied to Festo, where he was finishing his exams and qualifications in level 3 engineering. After GCSE’s Lewis specialised and moved to an engineering college. By then he knew that engineering was the field that he wanted to study further. He was specifically interested in Festo after seeing their equipment and posters within his previous college.

Lewis said, “I found out about PPMA grants after my apprenticeship manager recommended I applied as she said it would be useful to have as a new apprentice but also as a new apprentice who has had re-locate. She was right, as it has helped me personally with the cost of living expenses and the cost of being self-sufficient. I would recommend PPMA BEST grants and bursaries to any new apprentice to help them with their studies.”

Lewis is our 4th Apprentice at Festo and all have been supported by the PPMA grant. They have been extremely grateful, and I know it was a surprise to them all to be awarded the grant, which is very useful.
