Finally, GeT Cameras is releasing their Line Scan Camera series! After receiving many enquiries from the market, GeT Cameras has dedicated a lot of time of testing and evaluating the best fitting line scan cameras for their portfolio. As with all their products they aim to provide the best price / quality ratio on the market, while providing you with excellent support. But first things first, which camera would be most suitable for you?

Area scan vs. line scan cameras

Until now, GeT Cameras’ portfolio consisted solely of area scan cameras. Area scan cameras capture a 2D image in a single exposure, using a grid of pixels to capture an entire scene at once. Area scan cameras are ideal for applications where the entire object is visible in one frame or both the camera and object are stationary, such as in inspection tasks.

Line scan cameras, on the other hand, capture one line of pixels at a time, building a 2D image as either the camera or the object moves. This approach is perfect for inspecting continuous or fast-moving materials, such as in textiles inspection, printing or sorting systems. In these applications, high resolution and speed are often critical.

Which line scan camera do I need?

Selecting the most suitable line scan camera for your vision application is often experienced as difficult. To help, GeT Cameras offers a range of resolutions and interfaces to suit various needs, starting at just € 612 single piece price for a 2K line scan camera. Consider the following specifications when choosing a line scan camera:

Imaging type: Monochrome, Color or SWIR

                     Resolution: Between 2K and 16K.

Interface: Available in GigE, Camera Link and CoaXPress interfaces to fit into your existing systems.

Durable and Reliable: GeT Cameras offers line scan cameras that come with a 2-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability.

Lens mounts: Choose between C-mount and M42 mount camera options, and pair with their C-Mount VA8-LCM-25MP series or M42 lenses for optimal performance.

Line scan cameras are ideal for inspecting fast-moving objects without missing any details. They capture long or continuous items, ensuring no issues with stitching. With both a high resolution and speed, they quickly detect tiny defects, and their distortion free imaging is also perfect for curved surfaces.
