MVC Technology Presentation Hub 2021

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 travel restrictions (specifically within the EU), this year’s UKIVA Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition (MVC) will now run as an online event from 15 July 2021.

In response to the cancellation of the event, Neil Sandhu, Chairman of UKIVA, said: “We are disappointed to take the decision to cancel our Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition due to health and travel restrictions outside of our control.

“Following the widescale postponement of live industry events in 2020, there was understandably a real buzz around this year’s event and a return to normality. However, as the event organiser, we are beholden to science and Government guidelines, which will now see MVC move to a virtual format for 2021.

“In-keeping with last year’s event, this year’s full conference programme will again be hosted on our Technology Presentation Hub, which was developed by the PPMA Group of Associations for the MVC website.

“The platform is free to register and offers users ease of navigation to an array of audio / visual presentations across eight theatres. These will be available to view from 15 July.

“The Technology Presentation Hub generated plenty of interest and feedback in 2020, so we expect 2021 to follow suit based on the advancement and rapid deployment of thermal imagining and deep learning capability during Covid-19.”

The full 2021 conference programme will be available to view online two weeks prior to the launch of the Hub. Visitor registration will remain open to enable more people to sign-up and receive email notification when the Hub goes live on 15 July.

We are pleased to announce that next year’s Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition will return to the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes on 28 April 2022.
