Piab’s piCOBOT® vacuum ejector unit now comes complete with a generic electrical interface, as well as several options for mechanical mounting plate dimensions in accordance with the ISO 9409-1 standard.
The new features (available from 1 June) complement the unit’s existing integrated controls, large visual status indicators and a user-friendly display. This enables the vacuum ejector to work with any collaborative robot and smaller industrial robots.
As an option to mount a suction cup directly on the piCOBOT® thread interface, a high-end adjustable gripper with two suction cups can be seamlessly attached to the piCOBOT® unit. It is equipped with a plug-in software which makes it very easy to install, set up and get started.
Through the user-friendly online configuration tool, Piab’s customers can now make the choice to have the piCOBOT® specified to the Fanuc robots CR4 & CR7. The plug and play specified package for the Fanuc robots CR4 & CR7 includes a USB memory with the CF-file software, the mechanical interface, the specified cable and compressed air hose.
By offering plug-and-play extensions to cobots, piCOBOT® ensures safe and effective human-robot interaction. Featuring Piab’s proprietary and highly efficient COAX® vacuum technology, piCOBOT® comprises a vacuum pump unit and a gripper unit fitted with suction cups. Piab’s extensive range of suction cups enable customers to tailor their own solutions.
