STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in an educational context. STEM-related learning is important in schools and at home. It provides an opportunity for children to learn about topics and disciplines that will serve them well in later life, particularly for in-demand new job roles.

Jan Stephens says, “Finally, AIR Wakefield is looking to create a partnership with a number of junior schools in the Wakefield area by supporting STEM education through integrated learning of science, tech, and engineering. Considering the significant growth and lucrative job opportunities within these fields, we feel STEM worthy of our involvement. Our aim is to provide interactive visits to Automation House and presentations to schools using Lego Robotics as a STEM learning tool.
