Texture of fillings for chocolates improves and rejects are cut by 15% in new mixer

Irish chocolatier Lily O’Brien is seeing the positive effects of sourcing from Machinery World a ROKK process mixer which is a good match for its batch sizes and easy to clean.

The ROKK CCM range supplied by Machinery World Group is known for facilitating the mixing, emulsification, homogenisation and cooking process for products including different types of cheese and cooking sauces. But as process manager at Lily O’Brien’s Kevin Coleman explains, the versatility of the range also lends itself to the mixing of chocolate and confectionery fillings.

“We use the ROKK CCM200 to mix the sweet fillings for our luxury chocolate collections,” he says. “And since we brought it onboard, the texture and evenness of the mix has improved throughout, which means we have reduced waste mixes by 15%, saving both time and money.”

According to the Irish company, the CCM200 is exceptionally sturdy, reliable and simple to use, and came with clear instructions, which Lily O’Brien uses  in its operations training.  It is also easy to clean, versatile and highly efficient, it adds, with a volume size that is perfect for its batch requirements.

“Just as importantly, the back-up support we receive from Machinery World’s engineering division is as good as anywhere else I’ve seen,” says Coleman. “And there is a very fast turnaround from their on-site spare parts division, Parts Station.”

He first came across Machinery World at a trade fair four years ago. Later, when he was looking for a cooker, cooler and mixer with the ability to tweak the plant diameters for bespoke solutions, the supplier was his first choice.

“I spoke to a number of different companies who recommended Machinery World – and I’ve not been disappointed,” says Coleman. “The training we received was excellent and everyone we deal with is highly skilled in their field – solutions are always simple, quick and clear, which is exactly what you want from your suppliers.”
