An Audion side- and cross-seal machine sourced by Friedheim International avoids any need for compressed air while also cutting film waste and allowing Sealprem to reduce leadtimes.
Scunthorpe-based Sealprem says it invested time and effort in finding the right packaging system, approaching several different equipment suppliers and testing its products.
“The process of choosing the right [machine] took a few months, and Audion CS-Matic L was decided to be the best option for our diverse range of products,” says technical and sustainability manager Lina Adomavičienė.
The continuous sealing machine is said to be ideal for high-mix, high-volume environments like Sealprem’s. The company supplies a wide range of construction sealing products for roofing, cladding, acoustics and wider waterproofing roles.
“Our goal is to enable UK manufacturers to operate faster, smarter and greener,” explains Friedheim packaging sales specialist Robert Jess. “We’re proud to support Sealprem’s mission with packaging systems that deliver measurable value.”
Since installation, Friedheim says Sealprem has enjoyed faster turnaround times for its roofing membranes, foam filler and fire-rated construction products. It has also reduced packaging waste, thanks to the machine’s automatic sizing and precise sealing system, it says, and improved product protection and presentation across its supply chain.
