Event: Preparing Manufacturers for EU Exit: Trade & Immigration

With the transition period set to end on 31st December, this free online event, will be hosted by Make UK, The Manufacturers Organisation. The event, delivered by leading experts, will focus on what you must do now as a business to continue trade with the EU.

Split into two workshops across the session:

  • Trade: Hear from leading customs expert Keith Robe, who will explain the new custom procedures, outlining the key steps and documentation that will be required to ensure that export and import movements are as frictionless as possible.
  • Immigration: Learn about the very latest impending immigration changes for employing EU workers and outlining an employer’s checklist to ensure you meet new requirements.

Both workshops will help identify possible cost saving measures, and underline the different timelines and scenarios, and their implications for manufacturers.

Expert biog:

Keith Robe worked for HMRC and previously HM Customs & Excise for 32 years in various roles, latterly in Customs law and facilitations, and for the past four years, having set up his own company, Keith has worked with numerous international trade businesses and associations helping them become Customs compliant and efficient.

PPMA members are encouraged to attend this event to understand how and what to prepare your manufacturing business for in advance of the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020 (11pm).

The webinar is ideal for those within manufacturing who are responsible for business strategy/leadership, operations, HR, business development, imports/exports, and other directors preparing for EU Exit.
