FREE Webinar: The Future of Food and Drink Manufacturing (26 Nov)

The UK Food & Drink Manufacturing sector is entering a new phase, where sustainability, automation, robotics, and innovation is upper most in processors and consumers plans.

Developing new and innovative ways of production will be key; therefore, ‘The Future of Food and Drink Manufacturing’ webinar on 26 November 2020 will provide registrants with an insight to the technologies that are accessible to the industry to assist in the growth and development for Smarter Food Factories in the Future.

The FREE-to-register one-and-a-half-hour webinar (10:30am – 12:00pm, BST) is brought to you as a collaboration of Lindum Group and the National Centre for Food Manufacturing (part of the University of Lincoln) and will be of particular interest to those working and operating in the food or drink manufacturing sectors.

  • 10.40 - 11.00: Janet Bellamy, National Centre for Food Manufacturing - Smart Factory – Creating, delivering, and funding Flexible manufacturing solutions

  • 11.20 - 11.40: Rosie Smith, the Bank of England's Agent for the East Midlands - Topical economic update for food & drink businesses

UEZ Fund Programme - Masterclass series

This Masterclass is brought to you as part of the University Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Fund Programme, which is being delivered by the National Centre for Food Manufacturing. The programme is funded by Research England.

Greater Lincolnshire Agri-food Innovation Platform (GLAFIP)

There will be an opportunity to find out more about GLAFIP, a European Regional Development Fund Project (ERDF), which aims to support agri-food businesses and their supply chains in the Greater Lincolnshire LEP area, in the innovation of products, processes, and services.

Increased Competitiveness Through Efficient Man and Machine Collaboration (COTEMACO)

The COTEMACO programme is financed by Interreg North-West Europe to encourage SMEs to implement collaborative robotics and digital technologies. Through a support programme, the aim is to encourage 60 SMEs from the automotive and food industry to use factory labs to develop their knowledge of new technologies in a realistic setting.
