His career includes 25 years serving as a Board Director, leading client strategy and operational delivery. Richard is now responsible for managing major client relationships, overseeing claims handling, and working closely with both in‑house teams and external legal specialists to ensure the highest standards of service and risk management.
'Cybersecurity from the Machine Builder's Perspective'
Andrew brings over 38 years of experience in industrial automation. For the past 18 years, he has been part of the Domain Expert team at Rockwell Automation. In his current role as Senior Technology Consultant, Andrew specialises in Industrial Networks and Cybersecurity, with a strong focus on the associated technologies, products, and industry standards that support these areas.
'Intellectual Property Strategy'
At PA Consulting, he leads a multidisciplinary team spanning IP, engineering, science, law, and corporate strategy – helping government and private‑sector clients across the full IP lifecycle, from strategic creation and management to commercialisation, intelligence, and dispute resolution. His team helps organisations maximise IP value wherever decisions are made – whether in the boardroom, the code room, the courtroom, or across the innovation ecosystem. Carl believes IP is not just a legal construct but a dynamic, multidimensional asset class where law, technology, and business meet – capable of driving growth, shaping markets, and unlocking enterprise value when wielded deliberately. He frequently speaks on intangible capitalism, AI and IP policy, open innovation, and the role of IP as a business asset. IP is more than what your lawyers – or even your IP department – tell you. It’s a strategic asset that unlocks freedom‑to‑operate, builds negotiating leverage, and turns know‑how and data into defensible moats across products and supply chains. This keynote explores how to use IP to secure competitive advantage across legal, technical, and commercial domains.
