Cobots and Machinery Safety are an independent safety specialist providing impartial guidance and support in a variety of machinery safety areas. Our safety consultant is Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) and has come from an electrical and mechanical engineering background.

Risk assessments of new, existing and imported machinery inline with the safety standard EN ISO 12100 and other applicable safety standards to identify hazards, assess the level of injury and provide guidance on a safe solution.

Completing PUWER assessments of machinery from single machines, to full factories. Using the relevant machinery safety standards to ensure the equipment is safe and compliant.

Using dedicated testing equipment, testing of light curtains, laser scanners, two hand control, safety radar systems to ensure that they are positioned correctly relative to the stopping performance of the machine. Detailed reports identify any areas of concern and provide guidance on the next steps.

Our safety consultant is a member of the BSI robot safety committee. Following guidance from the robot safety standards, completing risk assessments of collaborative robot applications and using specialist testing equipment to ensure the contact forces and pressures are within the specified limits, with the results documented in a report.

Supporting machine builders, end users and importers of machinery with UKCA / CE marking compliance to the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC Directive.

Completion of the EN ISO 13849-1 safety calculations, reviewing safety control system designs and testing of the safety control system in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and EN ISO 13849-2.
