The MTC:

plus minus

The MTC was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry, enabling industrial implementation of advanced, innovative manufacturing solutions. We achieve this through manufacturing R&D, process innovation and through embedding future skills to help organisations develop new products and/or capabilities. The MTC is a part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) network, which represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing in recent years.

Our typical projects within Food and Drink are:

plus minus

· Digital strategy, road mapping and transformation · Data science and imformatics · Novel process technology development · Feasibility evaluations for technology implementations · Proof of principle projects for advanced automation and robotics · Process problem solving / de-bottlenecking · Modelling and simulation · Manufacturing operational excellence support · As a partner for collaborative R&D We work with businesses across the food and drink supply chain, from agriculture through to the retail space and with supporting materials/machinery suppliers.
