Make UK webinar: The new EU trade deal – VAT (24 Feb)

With the new UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement signed on 30 December 2020, PPMA members are encouraged to join a FREE webinar on The New EU Trade Deal: VAT on 24 February 2021 at 12pm (BST).

During this one-and-a-half-hour session, attendees will get an overview of what the UK-EU deal means for taxation and, more specifically, VAT and the implications for you and your business when importing into the UK or exporting to the EU.

Specific examples will illustrate what is needed to export to the EU. A broad overview of the policy will be discussed along with the practical and technical implications for GB manufacturers. The session will conclude with helpful guidance on how work within the new rules.

Attendees will hear from a representative from HMRC, who will specifically look at importing goods into the UK, postponed VAT accounting (PVA), plus the implications when trading with Northern Ireland.

Mark Ellis, from accountancy and business advisory firm BDO (Binder Dijker Otte & Co), will then speak on how companies can export to EU Member States and how to register and pay VAT. Mark will also offer specific examples as each Member State has different VAT rules.
