Regional Sales Managers (NW and SW)

Job description:

Accountable for the Sales of Metal Detection and Check weighing equipment and services to accounts within the specified territory consisting of end user and OEM accounts within the UK Food and Pharmaceutical manufacturing markets.

This role will require expansion and development of the territory, building existing, and developing new accounts. This will be achieved by having a proactive approach to long-term new business development, medium-term and focused prospecting, professional account management and managing inbound enquiries be they self-generated or via marketing lead generation campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

Profitable Sales
• Meeting / Exceeding financial sales target and Product mix targets• Correct technical solutions offered,• Maintain and develop existing customers/OEMS/Key Accounts,

New Business
• Identify new sales opportunities with blue chip accounts working at a strategic level identify new applications and services, • Establish and communicate new features and markets

Sales Strategy and Plan
• Preparing and working to budgets,• Forecasting, • Competitor awareness • Contribute to Sales Strategy, •Use of CRM system, regular reporting and update of activity, • Application specifications,• Proposal submission,• Commercial terms applied,• Ownership of the sales cycle to maximise the sales opportunity

Effective Customer Relationships
• Establish solid working relationships with key account representatives, • Manning exhibitions or events, • Development of existing accounts both technically and commercially, • Identification new sales opportunities, • Efficient customer care

Candidate requirements:

• Clean Driving Licence

Specific Skills

• A proven track record (5 years’ experience) in equipment sales ideally into the food manufacturing industry (processing or packaging equipment)
• Food/Packaging industry understanding (preferred)
• Technical aptitude and commercial acumen
• Ability to manage end-to-end projects
• Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
• Use of a CRM system
• Proactive use of LinkedIn
